GETTING THERE

FIGUEIRA DA FOZ

Is accessible by car or train.

It is almost the same distance from the main airports in Lisbon or Porto, 1h30 and 2h, respectively. Once you get there you can enjoy the beach surroundings, local cuisine, sea food or just have an ice cream and get ready to our wedding.

THE WEDDING

Will take place in Quiaios, which is on the other side of the Serra da Boa Viagem, if you are in the center of Figueira da Foz.

When travelling to the wedding, we highly recommend you come with time in advance to enjoy the car ride through the mountain range, we have fallen in love with the view.

We recommend renting a car.

CEREMONY

at Murtinheira's Beach

Show up or park your car close to the beach. Our recommendation is this parking lot and you should be there no later than 12pm near the green Citroene.
We sugest you take the wood trail at the beach to reach us.

Note: please leave the small parking area by the Citroene for the bride, groom and mobility reduced guests.

EXPLORE THE COAST

Of Portugal with breathtaking beauty, the relaxed charm of Figueira da Foz

and its surroundings.

From long sandy beaches and ocean sunsets to laid-back cafés and seaside strolls, this is a place made for slowing down and enjoying simple pleasures.

Figueira is known for its expansive beaches, lively promenade, and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a walk by the sea, a swim, or a sunset drink.

Just a short drive away, you can explore the lush landscapes and viewpoints of Serra da Boa Viagem, ideal for nature lovers and scenic walks.

A little further inland lies Coimbra, the city where we met and where we now live. With its historic streets, river views, music-filled evenings, and unmistakable student spirit, it’s a place very close to our hearts and well worth a visit.

Following the coast up North, you will reach Aveiro, some call it the Venice of Portugal, filled with great food, canals, beauty and the beach a bridge away. This city give us feels of the Netherlands, and it is where Xavi works, also a favourite on our list.

Whether you’re staying a little longer or simply exploring between celebrations, we hope you’ll take the time to wander, taste, and enjoy this beautiful corner of Portugal.

Zagallo: A local institution for grilled meat and hearty, comforting dishes.

Marujo: Known for it's burgers and a quick meal

Caçarola: Traditional Portuguese cooking in a cosy setting, perfect for a relaxed dinner.
